Barbara Davis - Instructor

I started riding as a passenger many years ago and one day decided I would like to learn to drive a motorcycle myself instead of depending on others to come take me for a ride on those nice summer days. I took the plunge 4 yrs ago and signed up for a BRC. I had to take the class twice as the first time I only got my permit and instead of riding for the state to get my endorsement, I figured I would take the class again. This time I passed and received my endorsement. I spent my first season of riding on a Suzuki 250cc as I felt I really needed to work on my skills and this was just the right size bike to help me build my confidence. The second year of riding season I moved up to a Suzuki 600cc and then my third season I decided to go up a bit more to a Honda Shadow 750cc. On the fourth season and now being a rider coach I took a big jump up to a Harley Davidson Softtail 1584cc which I absolutely love. Before I became a rider coach, I had worked as a range aid for 3 years and remember saying I would never become a rider coach but after being around bikes and working the range I decided I wanted to share my knowledge and love for riding with others so a year ago I took the RCP Class. I passed my class August of 2018 and am so glad I made this choice as I have enjoyed watching students find their love for riding as much as I do. It has been an amazing journey and I am so happy that I never gave up riding just because it was a little challenging in the beginning. I look forward to seeing all of you at the upcoming classes and continuing to share the love for riding with all of you!!
