My first interest in riding a motorcycle began on a little Honda 50 in the woods on MDI.  My friend and I did not know what we were doing at age 12.  Crashed repeatedly trying to ride two up in the pucker brush!  Fast forward six years to the showroom of Darlings in Bangor and seeing a shiny orange ’75 Honda CL 360!  The salesman pointed to the clutch, throttle, brakes and starter button, then said, “have a nice day”!

I took that bike from Bar Harbor to Daytona on one of those "hitting the open road after college rides”.  I love to put the miles on! I love to get lost!  I love being out there!!

My sons and I ride together as often as we can, mostly in an adventure setting.

I now ride a 2014 Honda CTX 1300 for the pavement and a 2014 Triumph Tiger 1150 for the dirt.

I will begin my 17th year of motorcycle safety instruction this season.  The LORE Ridercoaches all share the same passion for instructing!  We want the students to learn and enjoy the experience.  The learning atmosphere is relaxed yet structured and EVERYONE will gain knowledge about riding motorcycles.
