Frederick Gaudette - Instructor

Frederick began his riding adventures back in the early 2000's when his good friend called his bluff and put him on the back of his BMW 1150 during a carpool. The first right turn lit up an interest and joy that gave him quite the itch to get on to 2 wheels.

It took 11 years for Frederick to get back on a bike when at the ripe young age of 35 he straddled a SYM 150 Wolf Classic as a student in the BRC in San Francisco California. As an experienced Ballet Teacher and Choreographer, he was instantly intrigued by the Rider Coaches who led his course: Mike, Chris, Eric, Jordan, and Don. The following year he attended an Intermediate Riders' Clinic where his RiderCoach Aron recruited him to join the California Motorcycle Safety Program as a RiderCoach. Work got in the way and put his RiderCoach ambitions on the back burner for a couple years. Just prior to COVID while figuring out some larger life changes; Frederick got in touch with John Kohler the Maine State Motorcycle Safety Program Coordinator and MSF RiderCoach Trainer and signed up for RiderCoach prep in 2020 prior to a planned trip to Alaska to coach for MSF and work with a Motorcycle Touring Company as a sales rep and tour guide.

Then COVID..... A native of Northeast Massachusetts, he ended up packing up life in CA and heading out to New England where he eventually did get to attend prep and license as a RiderCoach here in the "Great State of Maine" as he likes to call it.

His first year he certified in the MSF BRC, 3 Wheel BRC, BRC 2 (Experienced Rider Course), and ARC (Advanced Rider Course). It was at the ARC prep where he met John Reeves and connected with LORE for the first time. He's worked with LORE since 2021.

In addition to working at LORE he also works in Vermont with the Vermont DMV Rider Education Program, and is the Adaptive Ski Program Supervisor for Stowe Ski and Ride School where he coaches Adaptive and Non-Adaptive Skiiing in the Winters.

He currently lives in Waterbury, Vermont with his partner Kate, a Physical Therapist and Adaptive Ski Instructor.
