LORE Motorcycle Education….

Is a company consisting of several MSF and Maine State certified motorcycle trainers. There is a combined teaching experience of 25+ years and a combined riding experience of well over 100 years. LORE has a dedicated staff that will take the intimidation out of learning to ride a motorcycle.

The owner, instructors and staff are dedicated to make your motorcycle education experience the best in Maine!

What should I wear?

Dress Requirements apply to BOTH the BASIC RIDER COURSE and the EXPERIENCED RIDER COURSE

  • DOT or Snell approved helmet - BRING YOUR OWN, WE DO NOT PROVIDE!!

  • Eye protection (goggles, glasses, or helmet with a face shield)

  • Long-sleeved shirt or jacket

  • Long pants of sturdy material

  • Over-the-ankle boots (low heels, sturdy, not canvas)

  • Full-fingered gloves (leather preferred)

  • Waterproof Rain gear - no ponchos!

  • MOTORCYCLES ARE PROVIDED FOR EACH CLASS - YOU DO NOT NEED TO BRING ONE

HOW DO THESE CLASSES ROLL?

Register for the Basic Rider Course!

  1. Take the 5-Hour eCourse (you’ll receive the link in an email from us)

  2. Print the eCourse completion certificate (or take a screenshot)

  3. Attend class! (see dress requirements) Learn to RIDE!!!

  4. Complete all the exercises and pass the skills evaluation to earn your endorsement. If you complete all the exercises and don’t pass the skills evaluation, you will earn your permit.

  5. Contact the Bureau of Motor Vehicles to have your endorsement put on your license!!!
